Some news I'm excited to share: on August 7–8, 2026, I'll be speaking at the XXVI Cumbre Latinoamericana de Marketing Político in New York — one of Latin America's longest-running professional leadership summits, with more than two decades of history and strategic alliances across 17 countries.

🗓 August 7–8, 2026 · 📍 New York City

Yes, that's this week. And yes, you can still get a seat.

What is the Cumbre Latinoamericana?

For over 22 years, the Cumbre Latinoamericana "Democracia y Desarrollo" has brought together political leaders, strategists, entrepreneurs, and communicators from across the region. It has traveled through Mexico, Panama, Colombia, Honduras, and Miami, and in recent years established itself in New York and Washington, D.C. — with past editions held at Columbia University and the Hotel Washington, across from the White House.

Its stages have hosted figures like Luis Abinader, President of the Dominican Republic; Luis Almagro, former Secretary General of the OAS; Senator Marco Rubio; and political strategist JJ Rendón, among many others.

This is not another marketing conference. It's where Latin American politics, strategic communication, and leadership sit at the same table — in the heart of New York, home to one of the most influential Latino communities in the world.

This year's lineup

The XXVI edition brings serious firepower:

  • **Antonio Sola** (Spain) — known as "the maker of presidents," a strategist behind 500+ campaigns worldwide
  • **Larry Rubin** (US/Mexico) — President of The American Society of Mexico
  • **Mario Zamora** (Mexico) — Federal Deputy and 2021 Sinaloa gubernatorial candidate, delivering a keynote on the untold story of that election
  • **Sergio José Gutiérrez** (Mexico) — digital strategist and political consultant

And that's exactly the audience I want to talk to about what's next in communication: creators.

My talk: "From 0 to Influencer"

I'll be presenting "From 0 to Influencer: How Brands Build Their Own Voices in LATAM," based on my book The Creator Factory.

The core idea is simple and contrarian: brands and leaders who depend on renting other people's audiences are building on borrowed ground — the case I make in detail in owned vs rented creator distribution. The alternative — building owned voices with real credibility — is available to any organization that knows how. In the talk, I'll share:

  • The actual protocol for taking someone **from zero to active creator in 90 days**
  • Cases from live campaigns in the Dominican Republic, Mexico, and Colombia
  • Why this applies equally to a consumer brand and to a political or business leader
  • How the [Creator Factory methodology](/blog/creator-factory-method) turns communication into a durable competitive advantage instead of a one-off expense

After 13 years running influencer marketing campaigns across the US and Latin America — for brands like KFC, L'Oréal, inDrive, and Yango — I can say with data in hand: this is the conversation the region needs to have right now.

Why political strategists should care about creators

Here's the crossover that makes this summit the right room for this talk: political consultants and opinion leaders are, in essence, the exact product of a Creator Factory — people with credibility who move narratives. The playbook for building a brand's in-house creator and the playbook for building a public voice with real influence are the same playbook. Whoever masters it first, in any market, stops paying rent on attention.

Why you should attend

If you're a political consultant, communicator, entrepreneur, marketing student, or you lead an organization connected to the Latino community, this summit offers three things no online course can:

  • **Direct access** to consultants and leaders running real campaigns across the region — practice, not theory.
  • **A network** spanning New York's Latino ecosystem and 17 countries in Latin America.
  • **Applicable tools**: every session is built so you leave with something you can implement the following Monday.

The summit also presents the Premio Líder Latinoamericano, recognizing careers of regional impact.

Registration is open — days left

The event is August 7–8, and seats for gatherings like this run out. Trust me: one conversation in the right hallway can be worth more than the full ticket price.

👉 For tickets and registration details, write to the organizers on Instagram: @cumbrelatinoamericana

And if you'll be there, message me on Instagram or LinkedIn — I'd love to say hello in person, talk creators, brands, and the future of marketing in Latin America, and sign your copy of The Creator Factory if you bring one.

See you in New York. 🗽
